JULIA DE ROEPER – 180 word bio
Julia de Roeper is an experienced screen and theatre professional. Following
eight years as Marketing Manager for the Adelaide Festival she moved into film, undertaking a producer attachment on the Japanese sci fi TV series Ultraman (1992, dir. Andrew Prowse), and then producing A Taste of Africa (1994, dir Judith John-Story, 6x27mins, ABC, SBS, Ch.4). She was Director of Industry Development with the South Australian Film Corporation from 1995-2000, and established production company JDR Screen on returning to the film industry in 2007 after completing a PhD on narrative and teaching at the University of South Australia from 2001-2007.
